Sands Park Hope Island - Gold Coast Fishing Spots

Sands Park is located at the Eastern most point of Hope Island where the Coomera River meets the Coombabah Creek. The park is hidden away and is mainly a “local’s little secret”.

The park offers anglers of all ages a quiet, convenient and beautiful fishing spot with a long sandy beach which then transforms into a rock wall bank leading to the Hope Island canal system.

Sands Park Hope Island - Gold Coast River Fishing

There’s plenty of opportunity to catch some of the Gold Coast’s most popular fish like Bream, Flathead and Whiting due to the sand and mud bottom with patchy weed beds.

Kayak launching is made super easy giving you great access to the Hope Island canal system and the Coomera River.
