Located on the Hope Island canal system you’ll find Sickle Park. Fed by the Coomera River this North Gold Coast fishing spot has a long rocky shore line, sand and mud bottom with patchy weed beds as well as good structure at each end.
At the Western end of the park there’s great structure under the Sickle Ave bridge giving anglers the opportunity to fish the pylons whilst staying under cover.
At the other end of the park there’s great fishing structure in and around the boat mooring births and in between you’ll have plenty of room to stretch out as the rocky shore line is a few hundred metres long.
Kayak launching really isn’t ideal at this location as it’s a long haul from the car park and the rocky bank will also make it a bit challenging.
A great suggestion would be to head a couple of minutes further up the road to Sands Park and launch from there as this is at the beginning of the canal system.
